Sachin Tendulkar today scored his 43rd century against New Zealand in the 3rd of the 5 match ODI series against the kiwis. Incidentally this is his first ODI century in New Zealand in a career spanning almost 20 years. He helped India post a mammoth total of 392 and India is on the verge of winning the match and take an unassailable lead in the 5 match series. He scored 163 of 133 balls which included 5 sixes and 16 fours. He stood a good chance to beat the world record of 194 by Saeed Anwar before he was forced to retire hurt.

If India wins the series this would be their first ODI series win in the New Zealand soil. Indians need to win one more match to accomplish the feat.
