Save the Earth!!!!!

With the Copenhagen talks and meets making headlines these days, I started to give a thought about what drives so many people who keep talking about protecting our environment. Isn’t Earth big enough to meet our demands? I’d say, It is!. But it isn’t big enough to fulfill our greed.

With the importance of saving mother Earth gaining more ground these days, all developed and developing nations are trying to cut their emissions in what ever ways possible. With the US being the highest polluter in this world, the pressure is extra on the Obama administration and the top manufacturing MNC’s of the richest land.

But, it is totally unfair to ask the developing nations to cut their emissions by a certain percent within a time frame. It CANNOT be done at the COST OF A DEVELOPING NATION’S GROWTH. All the western states have done enough damage through industrialization over the past 100 years and THEY are mainly the cause for our sorry state of climate and environment. Now it is time for them to act first and be a role model for other 2 tier nations to act.

Apart from all these effects, few disreputable companies from the west and other parts of the world are still dumping toxic waste and other garbage into some poor lands. There are hundreds of other instances where organizations around the world could act in a greener way but don’t fearing the cost involved.

Let’s not talk more, but act and try to preserve what is left with us. Let us all follow few simple rules and contribute what ever is possible by us to reduce our carbon foot prints. This mesage is hardly for a common man and by and large for the Richie Riches.

I got the below picture from one of my dearest friends and it looked admirable and speak volumes on combating Global Warming. You don’t have to paint the world white but follow these simple policies whenever possible. Let us all make this world a better place to live in. 🙂
