November 5, 2008

Barack Obama winsBarack Obama has won the race for the White house comfortably against the powerful duo of John McCain and Sarah Palin. This makes him the first black president of the United States of America. He is eventually the 44 th president to grace the White House.

His post election results announcement speech was a powerful one. He thanked all his well wishers, the people who chose him, democratic election strategists, his family among others.

The election result numbers are as follows

Electoral College votes Winning post 270

The election was historic in many aspects. It was the costliest election ever fought, first black president and the ladies Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin added enough interest to the elections. At last afftle a string of battles, Obama finally managed to win the war and the hearts of Americans. Surely the change has come. I think i can remember forever this tag line “Change we believe in”. This one certainly had some part to do in the elections.
