Stocks surge late during final hour

The stock market gained during the late hours of trading as buying increased among heavyweight scripts. While buying was seen among few sectors, software scripts along with cement, pharma and telecom braced the bears. This was a result of global indices trading higher. The sensex increased by 300 points and few of the heavy losers were Satyam, TCS, Wipro, Sun Pharma etc., Suzlon, DLF, Unitech and Reliance Power were top gainers.
