Choice for the Better!

March 22, 2013

I fail to understand the psychology of always running behind better things in life. That pops a question! What’s better? Is it what you or other people LIKE? Or is it what everyone is crazy about? Or is it what impresses you in all angles? Simply, is it the APPLE of all things?

Well, the answer according to me is both YES and NO. Yes, because, you want the best of all so that no one overlooks you. If you run after the better, you are most probably believed to end up with the best. That’s nothing but an increase in the satisfaction levels and in turn the happiness quotient.

But all that you gain is a shift in a state. Now, whoever didn’t have the choice or was afraid enough to go after the better, ends up with what he gets. It turns out to be good enough for him, either because the Universe felt that’s all he can handle or funnily, it was not interested in him at all.

But how does anyone decide what someone should go after? And, how is he sure that whatever he gets, is the best out there? What if he stumbles upon someone or something better? Is it permissible to pursue the new dream leaving behind the old? After all, the individual happiness quotient is at stake here! What difference does it make to the one who didn’t have a choice? Does this make him a better organism now?

I suddenly feel, there is always a balance. You get something and you settle for something! Try upsetting the balance and you are screwed!
