When God thought “It’s enough!!”

August 8, 2010

Doomsday Yep. What happens when God thinks “It’s Enough!!”, if ever he were there? I was wondering what will be the aftermath when God decides to shut down everything: everything we believe it exists.

Going by religions, the way the Earth will be destroyed is by famines and by wild natural elements. Not a soul will be spared on doomsday. The Earth, as we know will never be the same. We will by no means have a clue of what will happen to Earth soon after destruction.

In line with Hindu philosophy, a new avatar will be born when the mother Earth can no longer bear the evil. The avatar destroys all evil and restores peace. But, in this Kaliyuga, evil is so widely spread that God doesn’t have a chance but to obliterate everything and start afresh. And of course, other religions have their own versions of  the Doomsday concept which are more or less on the same lines: Destroy Evil and restore peace.

Atheists and astronomers can have a contradictory theory, similar to the Big bang for the creation. Let’s contemplate how their theories can be in general.

The Universe will start shrinking instead of expanding. The astronomers currently believe that the Universe (or even a Multiverse) is getting bigger explained by tracking the position of stars and galaxies. What could have possibly been the source of this entire Universe is still a mystery. It will always be. The belief that an extremely dense substance which could fit into your pocket is the source for this entire universe is a bit amusing. But, failing to appreciate the power of creation is wrongdoing. The dense substance as a result of Big bang a few billion years ago resulted in the creation of this Universe which is spread over some 92 billion light years across. And with dark matter holding all the galaxies and matter together from falling apart they’d say it is easier to destroy the Universe once the dark matter is disturbed.

Or more interestingly, the same mass which created the Universe, can start absorbing things like a black hole with more intensity than it used to create matter. Because it might take another billion years to destroy this limitless Universe going by the creation timelines. Else, an easier way to destroy is to get this Universe in contact with equal amounts of antimatter and annihilate everything that exists.” This might be their way of explaining how a Universe will cease to exist.

Whatever theory or belief it is, when he thinks it’s enough It’s enough. And when that happens, I wonder how an astronomical guy would try to perceive it. The basic question “How did a Universe occur?” will still be unanswered. And that would be awful.

I always believe that it’s for good that some fundamental questions are unanswerable. Because these questions are the very basic reasons that will drive us to limitless knowledge one day, if possible. In search of Answers, always.
