Will Obama win worry the Outsourcing team?

November 6, 2008

It’s now an established fact that Obama is the new hope for the US, infact for the entire world. The global leaders are closely watching him. They are wondering what his next move would be. The most eagerly awaiting groups are the techie ones in India. One could remember what Obama said while campaigning…curb outsourcing…is that actually possible??

The economists think the other way….if Obama is going to curb outsourcing and provide jobs for the Americans, it is definitely not going to help America and the world. It would create a closed economy. This would not help the big organizations in the US, because it would not help them curb costs. The only feasible way is to outsource. There is no better possible way now than outsource.

Right now over 60 per cent of the IT industry’s revenue is coming from the US. A lot is at stake, almost 25 billion dollars. This definitely worries Indian techies.

But Obama has promised change. The change he promised should be welcome among all the circles to be accepted and implemented. Will Obama be another FDR or Abraham Lincoln who could reverse the fortunes of his nation as they did during crisis?
